US FISH AND
WILDLIFE SERVICE THREATENS CONFISCATION OF 50,000 PRIVATE ACRES OF DARBY, OHIO LAND. DALE RAPP FIGHTS ALONG SIDE HIS COMMUNITY TO STOP
THIS FEDERAL LAND GRAB SCAM.
"Despite
massive opposition to the land takings by our local citizens, the USFWS
continues to act under the influence of the Nature Conservancy and their
funders, the Columbus Foundation consortium, to cripple our farm
community."
As far back as 1994, the USFWS was studying the Darby area
without the knowledge of the residents. No mention was ever made to
residents and farmers that this land re-classification was planned.
In fact in a letter from Thomas Larson, Chief of Ascertainment
Planning for the USFWS in Ft Snelling,MN to a resident Mrs. Patricia
Schiering, Mr Larson states very plainly " the proposed Darby
Prairie National Wildlife Refuge is a wildlife and habitat
preservation project , not an agriculture preservation project."
